The department of civil engineering is as old as the institute itself. The Students already passed from from this department are well placed . Our Staff take keen interest to make Students experts in prectical work .

This department offers the design of a variety of structures soil and material testing and carrying out engineering survey. This Deptt. conducts short term courses for costruction and maintenance of highway for Polytechnic faculty in collaboration with N.I.T.T.T.R. Chandigarh.

Our all labs are well equipped and our staff take keen interest to make our students expert in practical fields.

Our Students are giving us good results which are much better than other Polytechnic in the state e.g. in 5th semester civil(2005) results our 14 Students were all clear while in Mehr chand 6 students and in Thaper Polytechnic 8 Students were all clear .
