This Deptt.was first started in 1965 with the birth
of this Institute . The purpuse of this deptt. was to
catter the needs of varrious organizations (PSEB,PWD,BER,RAILWAYS,POWER
CONTROL GRID )for their demand for juniour Engineers
/Tachnicians.In and around Amritsar about 60% and 40%
SDU in PANJAB STATE ELECTRICITY BOARD (PSEB) are passed
Students from this deptt. Many of our Students are serving
in multinational and national level compnies at various
posts . This deptt. is famous for creating quality Electrical
Technician .This department is equipped with
well maintaind labs and provides service to the students
and the institute as well.
